The paper turned brown over time. Korra tried to tape the edges so it wouldn't tear up easily. But no matter how hard she tried to preserve it, the ink would then fade and she could not read a single word. She couldn't even remember who sent it. All she knew was it had been ten years ever since she saw them.
And even ten years were enough to forget people who faded quickly.
After the fall of Amon, the thought reentered her mind when she found the aging letter under her old bedroom at her parents' hut in the south pole. She didn't mind at first, but she became curious. She needed to find who wrote the letter-- may they be dead, or alive.
